WKYS wants to give local artists a chance to get their music heard by our thousands of listeners and readers.

Every Monday, WKYS will select a submission in DMV's Own and prominently feature the chosen local artist on KYSDC.com. If your hot enough our DJs may even scoop up your track and play it on the radio.

Our staff and DJs will dig through the hundreds of music submissions and choose who to feature weekly but votes from listeners will help us select who's hot so get your fans to vote for you also.

How does it work?

Submit your radio edited music single along with a photo & short description to KYSDC.com and have your fans vote starting.

Remember, all songs submitted on this site must be original, must not contain any uncleared samples and be clean edited for radio.

Also, make sure you are sharing your music. Utilize the social network buttons, push fans to rate your song, make adjustments, collaborate, and create the perfect radio single.

VOTE OFTEN: Every registered user is allowed to vote once per day. That means one person can give you multiple votes if they vote everyday!

BOOKMARK YOUR PAGE: Copy the URL of your submission page and send it to your friends so they can find you easily.

BE SOCIAL: Use your social network pages (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to increase your exposure. Get your friends and family involved and your votes can go through the roof.
